Job Description:
Position Summary
The IT Release Management Analyst supports the planning, coordination, and execution of release activities for SAP and integrated applications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and reliable delivery of releases including projects, upgrades, enhancements, and operational updates while helping maintain production stability and alignment with ongoing project and operational schedules.
Working closely with project teams, technical resources, and business stakeholders, the analyst provides hands-on support for release planning meetings, dependency tracking, calendar management, and reporting activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Detailed Description
Release Planning & Coordination:
Support the end-to-end release process for SAP and related applications.
Assist in organizing and executing different types of releases, including major projects, minor enhancements, and routine operational updates.
Maintain the integrated release calendar and coordinate input from project teams, operational teams, and business stakeholders.
Help track release-related dependencies, conflicts, and key milestones.
Participate in release planning meetings and ensure accurate documentation of outcomes, actions, and follow-ups.
Assist in preparing communication and release-related documentation for stakeholders.
Tool and Process Support:
Use established release management tools (e.g., Plutora, Planview) to support planning, workflow tracking, and reporting.
Enter and update release information in the toolset and help monitor progress through defined release workflows.
Assist with generating dashboards and reports that summarize upcoming releases, deployment windows, and risk indicators.
Build process documentation, team checklists, and KM related to release activities.
Deployment Coordination:
Coordinate with project teams and technical leads to ensure readiness for release events, including deployment schedules, testing requirements, and environment availability.
Participate in pre-release reviews, deployment rehearsals, and cutover activities as needed.
Track deployment outcomes and assist in capturing lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and business analysts to gather and clarify release-related information.
Share updates on release timing, status, and risks with relevant stakeholders.
Help coordinate communication during release execution windows, including notifying stakeholders of key milestones or issues.
Education and Training Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications such as ITIL Foundation or SAP-related credentials are a plus.
Training or experience with release management platforms like Plutora or Planview preferred.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Technical and Functional Experience:
3+ years of IT experience, with at least 1-2 years supporting release or deployment activities.
Exposure to SAP landscapes and terminology, especially SAP S/4HANA, middleware, and deployment processes.
Familiarity with tools like SAP Solution Manager, Planview/Plutora, ServiceNow, and Azure DevOps.
Process and Collaboration Skills:
Basic understanding of ITIL concepts (especially Release and Change Management).
Comfortable working within Agile or hybrid project environments.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate across teams.
Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical team members.
Ability to handle shifting priorities and respond or release-driven needs in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to support release events during non-standard business hours when needed.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is Hourly rate $50 to $58.00/Hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
