These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

What does a successful Software Development Engineering - Advisor II do at Fiserv?
As a Software Development Engineering - Advisor II, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
This position sits within our Card Services technology team as part of our greater Financial Institution Group. You will be a part of an agile development team using Java tech stack.
What you will do:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals
- Collaborate with Product, infrastructure, and design teams to turn business needs into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
- Leverage expertise in design and development of microservices, orchestration and highly available real time architecture and APIs
- Lead the team with security in mind (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, web service proxies, firewalls, multi-protocol gateways
- Own responsibility for integration with multi-location (geographically distributed) and multi-role teams to ensure timely delivery
- Participate in thoughtful design and code reviews to maintain code quality and promote learning
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, helping grow the team's technical expertise and best practices
What you will need to have:
- 10+ years of experience in software development
- 8+ years of hands-on development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring integration, Spring Security, Oracle, NoSQL, RDBMS, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence & on Agile methodology
- 4+ years of experience in building and leading engineering team to deliver on roadmaps
- 4+ years of experience in administering & consuming services in Cloud platforms like PCF and AWS
- 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- 3+ year of experience in frontend frameworks (React, Redux)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Experience in the financial services industry, preferably Card Payment Processing
- Knowledge of version control and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Jira)
