Job Title: Middleware Engineer
Location: Mahwah, NJ-Hybrid
Mode of Hire: Contract
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server environments for enterprise applications.
- Manage and optimize WebLogic domains, clusters, and deployments for high availability and performance.
- Perform SQL Server administration tasks including database maintenance, backups, and performance tuning.
- Administer Linux operating systems, ensuring security, patching, and system monitoring.
- Develop and maintain WLST scripts for automation of WebLogic tasks.
- Write and maintain Bash scripts for system automation and operational efficiency.
- Utilize Python for scripting and integration tasks as needed.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and upgrades.
Required Skills:
- WebLogic Administration: Strong expertise in configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Linux OS Administration: Strong knowledge of shell scripting, system performance, and security.
- SQL Server Administration: Intermediate skills in database management and optimization.
- WLST Scripting: Intermediate proficiency for automating WebLogic tasks.
- Python: Intermediate scripting capability for automation and integration.
- Bash: Strong scripting skills for Linux based automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high availability architectures and clustering.
- Familiarity with middleware performance tuning and JVM optimization.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible) for deployment automation.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
