Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the business team for training and user acceptance testing.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including standards, procedures, and specifications.
  • Write scripts to convert data based on new functionalities added to the application.

Deliverables:

  • Complete application release activities as assigned.
  • Fulfill all assigned maintenance, support, and development tasks (including service requests, releases, incidents, and problems).
  • Resolve incident and problem management issues.
  • Update team knowledge bases and documentation as applicable.
  • Provide operational support as part of the team rotation. Compensation for after-hours on-call support will follow departmental rates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as updating team documentation and participating in team scrums.
  • Sign a non-disclosure agreement and complete the Department's Privacy Training prior to the start of the assignment.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrated IM/IT experience.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Programmer Analyst in programming and analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Scored Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated experience working with Provincial Health Care and/or Regional Health Authority applications.
  • Over ten (10) years of experience in developing, documenting, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Over ten (10) years of experience with database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience maintaining and creating new PL/SQL stored procedures.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with Java.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with Linux batch jobs.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with version control software.
