Job Details

Our client, with locations in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA, is currently in need of an Secret cleared Windows Engineer for an initial 6 month contract that will renew yearly, year over year. The consultant will work onsite in support of Windows Server, Active Directory, physical servers and switches as part of an AzureStack HCI solution. This role will focus on the hardware stack for the most part and will need experience with both compute and network administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, reviews, and manages Windows, AD, servers and network infrastructure.
  • Manages server requests.
  • Manages and reviews log files.
  • Generates regular operational reports.
  • Isolates and troubleshoots incidents.
  • Performs service incident coordination.
  • Opens service requests on behalf of the customer.
  • Participates in root cause analysis review.
  • Operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, problem management, documentation, and ticket resolution
  • Performs run-book updates (in conjunction with Customer Staff).
  • Reviews IT processes and policies (Incident, capacity, performance and change management, user, and back up policy) - as part of new solution or continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience with Windows OS and the servers they run on
  • Experience with Active Directory and ADFS
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience supporting server networking and connections to switches
  • Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization
  • Knowledge of any HCI configuration from Dell, HPE, NetApp, etc.

  • Ability to work onsite 100% in San Diego, CA or Norfolk, VA

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of AzureStack HCI
  • Experience with Azure mgmt or Azure certification
    • Azure AZ104 certification will work in place of experience

  • DoD IAT II certification
