SAP Logistics & Warehouse Management Data Steward (WM, TM)

Responsibilities

  • Lead LWM data preparation, enrichment, and migration for the GM SAP implementation, in partnership with the LWM Value Stream, ETO SAP Data Team, and functional support subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Support the design of the data management processes, rules and controls for LWM related data to ensure the quality and trustworthiness of the data
  • Construct SAP ERP LWM data objects (e.g., facilitating data domain extraction and construction, comparing to agreed standards, and identifying gaps and/or deficiencies)
  • Support data migration activities (e.g., data mapping and migration of LWM data objects, tests/trial loads, coordinating with end users to perform business data validation, performing user acceptance data domain testing, and facilitating corrective actions during and following cut over)
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate data quality risks related to GM LWM data by developing, implementing, and complying with data standards and policies for the Enterprise
  • Lead, participate in, and utilize data governance processes, and execute data quality processes in partnership with appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide data expertise and guidance to projects pertaining to GM usage of Master, Shared, and Single Application (including transactional) Data for the LWM domain
  • Identify stakeholders for LWM data in GM and communicate with them to promote best practices for data management, and to share changes in data policies, standards, and processes
  • Partner with stakeholders throughout GM to guide and train data specialists and Associates that generate data

Qualifications

  • SAP Experience required and ideally has worked on it in more than one environment
  • Must have strong background in data governance and data migrations (ideally working on implementations)
  • S/4 HANA experience preferred but ECC experience would be adequate
  • Sr level consultant able to support 75% hands-on execution and 25% thought leadership/recommending best practice
  • ARIS (Visio is backup) would be a nice plus
  • Experience using Jira would be a plus
  • Strong communication skills and high EQ Able to communicate clearly, listen actively, and tailor messaging to different audiences
  • Proactive mindset Someone who anticipates issues, takes initiative, and helps move the program forward independently
  • Balanced autonomy and collaboration Comfortable owning work independently but also highly engaged in team problem-solving
