Job Title: Epic Ambulatory Analyst
Job Location: REMOTE (USA)
Type: 3-6 Months Contract-to-Hire Position Summary
The Epic Ambulatory Analyst is responsible for the implementation, support, optimization, and maintenance of the Epic Ambulatory module and related applications within a healthcare setting. This role collaborates with clinical and operational stakeholders to enhance workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure the system aligns with organizational goals. The analyst will work with cross-functional teams to configure, troubleshoot, and support the Epic Ambulatory platform while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
End-User Support & Implementation
Provide tier 2 and 3 support for Epic Ambulatory users, including troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to Epic Ambulatory workflows and integration points.
Maintain and exceed SLA goals for assigned incidents and requests.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and resolution for assigned work queues, upgrades, and enhancements related to Epic Ambulatory applications.
Configure, build, test, and deploy changes in the Epic Ambulatory module.
Testing & Validation
Develop test plans and scripts for system changes, upgrades, and optimizations.
Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with QM teams to verify system functionality post-upgrade.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Meaningful Use, MIPS, MACRA, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
Maintain system documentation, change logs, and configuration records in accordance with audit requirements.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Epic Ambulatory Certification required with additional certifications (e.g., EpicCare Link, MyChart, Orders, Reporting Workbench, Bones, Bean, Beacon, Hospice) preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working with Epic Ambulatory or other EHR applications in a healthcare setting.
- Experience supporting clinical workflows, EHR configuration, and system troubleshooting.
- Experience in ambulatory practice settings, physician group practices, or outpatient facilities.
- Strong knowledge of Epic Ambulatory application functionality, workflows, and best practices.
- Experience with system configuration, build, and optimization in Epic.
- Ability to analyze complex clinical and operational workflows to recommend system improvements.
- Proficiency in data extraction, reporting, and SQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with interface engines (HL7, FHIR, APIs) and third-party application integration.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in cross functional teams with a willingness to engage customers and establish rapport with individuals in operational roles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
