JOB DESCRIPTION

The Guidewire Policy Center Lead is responsible for overseeing the implementation, customization, and maintenance of the Guidewire Policy Center platform within the organization. This individual serves as the primary point of contact for all Policy Center-related initiatives and works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and integration.

RESPONSBILITIES

  1. Implementation Leadership: Lead the implementation of Guidewire Policy Center, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.
  2. Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of Guidewire Policy Center architecture, data model, and functionalities to provide technical guidance and support.
  3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  4. Customization and Configuration: Customize Policy Center functionalities to meet specific business needs, including product configuration, rules implementation, and workflow design.
  5. Integration Management: Manage integrations between Guidewire Policy Center and external systems, ensuring data consistency and system interoperability.
  6. Quality Assurance: Oversee testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of the implemented solutions.
  7. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals. Conduct training sessions for end users and support teams as needed.
  8. Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and system errors related to Guidewire Policy Center, providing timely support and escalation when necessary.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Guidewire product updates to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
  10. Vendor Management: Liaise with Guidewire support and consulting teams to report issues, request enhancements, and leverage vendor resources effectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Prior experience (X years) working with Guidewire Policy Center, preferably in a lead capacity.
  • Strong understanding of insurance business processes and practices.
  • Proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and project management experience.
  • Guidewire certification(s) is a plus.
