Infrastructure Engineer - Data Move

Remote -

100% remote. M-F 8-5 EST hours. Provide 24X7 on-call support for all production environments; a rotational pre-scheduled basis will be required.

Duties:

  • Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as the lead technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions. Leads the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions. Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc. May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise. Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems. May serve as the primary contact for vendors. Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide Advanced knowledge of Data Movement process and procedures
  • Serve as the advanced/escalated IT/technical point of contact for the client, or the client s vendor and our client personnel in all Data Movement matters
  • Good organizational, time management, customer service skills; with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Close interaction with Application areas, CIP, Change Management, OCC, Data Storage Management, Server Support, Database Support, and Project teams
  • Maintain and adhere to EDI and file transfer security compliance standards; including but not limited to: HIPAA, PII, PCI, etc.
  • Troubleshooting of escalated incidents/issues caused by performance, application, infrastructure and database code issues
  • Address, manage, and/or troubleshoot escalated customer/client reported issues, service requests, and/or changes
  • Provide timely completion and/or resolution to requests and technical support issues; providing Root Cause Analysis where applicable
  • Provide planning and implementation of product and service installs, updates, and checkouts when applicable
  • Provide 24X7 on-call support for all production environments; rotational pre-scheduled basis
  • Off Shift Work: rotational on-call responsibilities all initiated through the EOCC for Managed Incidents; production change/task implementations
  • Identify, develop, and implement continual process improvement opportunities and automation development

Skills:
Core Competencies:
  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies:
  • File Transfer Protocols: HTTPS, FTP, SSH/SFTP, AS2, AS3
  • Connect: Direct, Connect: Direct Secure+ (Plus)
  • NIST & FIPS compliant Security/Encryption Protocols: AES, PGP, SSL/TLS, etc.
  • SQL and Oracle knowledge/proficiency (Plus)
  • Experience in one or more of the following tools/software:
  • IBM Sterling {B2B} File Gateway and Dashboard
  • IBM Global Mailbox
  • SQL Developer (Plus)
  • General understanding of one or more of the following operating systems:
  • Windows
  • Unix
  • Linux (RedHat a plus)
  • Communicating with multiple areas within IT and some business areas with professional and positive attitude
  • Strong customer service and customer support skills with the ability to communicate difficult technical concepts clearly to a variety of individuals of varying technical expertise and understanding.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks

Education :
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree HIGHLY PREFERRED w/experience in Computer Science or Information Management
  • 5+ Years Experience HIGHLY PREFERRED in data movement/file transfer process, preferably in the Healthcare Industry
