Docsis Test engineer

Long Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans for DOCSIS 3.1 and 4.0 technologies.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and interoperability testing.
- Use tools like Wireshark, Ixia, and Spirent for traffic analysis and simulation.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Automate test cases using Python or similar scripting languages.
- Document test results and provide feedback to development teams.
- Ensure compliance with CableLabs specifications and Comcast internal standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DOCSIS testing or broadband network validation.
- Strong understanding of DOCSIS protocols, CMTS, and cable modem technologies.
- Experience with RF signal analysis and network diagnostics.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DOCSIS 4.0 (FDX, ESD).
- Knowledge of cloud-native environments and virtualization.
- Certifications such as SCTE or CableLabs training.
