Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst Incident Response & Data Security

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing data security incidents by collaborating with the cybersecurity team to investigate potential threats using Crowdstrike and other technologies. Identify root causes, assess impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support incident response efforts, including coordination and execution of response plans, incident containment, evidence gathering, and forensic analysis to ensure timely and effective action.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments of critical systems and applications using appropriate tools and techniques. Help identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures to strengthen security.
  • Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and reports from various tools. Identify potential threats, security breaches, or unusual activities and contribute to strategies for resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather security requirements, provide recommendations, and assist in implementing data security controls.
  • Contribute to documentation and reporting, including incident reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and security guidelines. Assist in generating periodic reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments.
  • Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity technologies and threats. Research and evaluate new security tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance team capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Proficient in scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow all organizational standard operating procedures for approvals and review.
  • Strong interest in data security, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Familiarity with Crowdstrike and other cybersecurity tools is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and security concepts.
