Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time (W-2 only)
Location: McLean, VA (Onsite role)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, platform engineering, and automation scripting with Python or Groovy. You will work closely with development, operations, and platform engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.

  • Manage and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for provisioning and configuration.

  • Write automation scripts using Python or Groovy to streamline operational tasks.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of applications and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with platform engineering teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of systems.

  • Support on-call rotation and incident response as required.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.).

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker).

  • Proficiency in scripting with Python or Groovy.

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation, monitoring, and logging tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
