Location: Eagan, MN Need Local
Responsibilities include executing user story development, data governance, quality, data integration development, and testing policies.
This role will collaborate and/or partner with business areas, project teams, IT technical teams, as well as outsourced vendors, to ensure high quality delivery of data governance and data integration applications focusing on data quality standards and best data ownership practices across the organization.
A Day in the Life:
- Design and maintain API based integrations with Governance tools and AWS services. Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization between systems.
- Design and develop prototypes or final solutions for data governance frameworks by utilizing existing frameworks and monitoring processes that align with business goals and compliance requirements.
- Responsible for identifying and/or recommending significant improvement enhancements to existing artifacts to align with enterprise strategy or to improve user experience.
- Develop policies and procedures for data governance, conduct training sessions, and monitor compliance to maintain high standards of data governance within the organization.
- Ensure test environment and data readiness is appropriate for support and project deliverables. Which involved data de-identification using tools or frameworks.
- Develop, execute and maintain automated test cases and scripts, as assigned. Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices across the organization.
- Administer and support one or more data governance platforms for marketplace, stewardship, catalog, quality literacy, and data access management.
- Conduct regular audits of data sources, implement data lineage tracking, and ensure that data management practices align with the overall business strategy.
Analyze audit results and document defects and issues using the Incident Management Process.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Data governance, security and quality.
- Experience developing data de-identification, tokenization, masking solutions.
- Practical and relevant experience with one or more data warehouse and big data technical tools.
- Experience with storage, ETL/ELT processes and orchestration with AWS Cloud Technologies. Utilize AWS services (e.g., AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon Athena, AWS Step functions) to build scalable and reliable data governance solutions.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services, python and glue and airflow with redshift.
- Experienced knowledge in development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures, supporting data stewardship initiatives by providing technical expertise and guidance, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and security standards.
- Demonstrated oral/written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex technical information.
- Demonstrated ability to participate on teams with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams across the enterprise and stakeholders on project execution and issue resolution.
- Solution-oriented mindset with willingness to improve business operations and drive efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced agile environment.
- High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's degree.nowledge of the health care/health insurance industry.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum project methodology.
