Role Name: Technical Product Owner / BA
Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 9 Months contract to hire

Seeking a dynamic and versatile Technology Product Owner to join our team to support our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) capabilities. This hybrid role combines the strategic mindset of a Product Owner, the analytical rigor of a Business Analyst, and the facilitative leadership of a Scrum Master. You will be responsible for driving the execution, and delivery of technology solutions that align with business objectives and user needs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand objectives and priorities: gather, analyze, and document business needs 
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories/requirements, test scenarios and acceptance criteria 
  • Connect disparate requirements into common needs and themes 
  • Manage backlog to line-up with key milestones and priorities;  
  • Facilitate planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and discussions to synchronize work across teams; ensure follow-ups are tracked and resolved 
  • Coordinate testing efforts across teams; as needed, perform basic testing before final user acceptance is done by business or process owners 
  • Partner with project manager and program manager to manage project milestones, escalate risks, blockers as appropriate 
  • Communicate status at the relevant level of detail and frequency based on audience 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation through technology 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience as a product owner or business analyst with a working knowledge of product owner functions 
  • 2-5 years of experience in Agile delivery and strong understanding of Agile methodologies  
  • Attention to detail with an assertive approach in asking questions to get clarity and achieve common understanding 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills 
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Sharepoint.  Project management tool a plus
  • Technical literacy and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
