Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Systems Operations Manager



Job Description:

Systems Operations Manager to join a major finance client committed to developing award-winning technology services and products that make life easier. This role requires working onsite three days a week in Charlotte, NC.

Must-have Skills:

1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to triage and own problems through resolution.

2. Prior helpdesk experience.

3. Applied experience with AWS and cloud technologies.

4. Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.

5. Excellent communication skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.

6. Leadership skills with the ability to lead and drive ambiguous data to root cause analysis.

7. Experience managing production environments, deep root cause analysis, and problem management.

Nice-to-have Skills:

1. DevOps experience with tools like Python, Terraform, Jenkins, Gitlab, and Docker.

2. Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible Tower.

3. Familiarity with Unix and Windows platforms, Java EE, JavaScript, Spring, Spring Boot, REST API/Micro Services, Shell Scripting, Python, SQL, and databases (specifically Oracle).

4. Ability to debug problems in on-prem/cloud/hybrid distributed systems.

5. Passion for technology and innovative problem-solving mindset.

Education/Experience:

BS (preferably MS) in Computer Science or a related field.

5+ years of experience in a similar role with good knowledge of triage-related processes.

Deep knowledge and understanding of enterprise-scale platforms and architectures.

Coordination experience between upstream applications to resolve incidents.

Adaptability to new technologies and rapid shifts in priorities.
