Location: Peoria, IL (On-site 5 days/week)

Overview:
Caterpillar is seeking a Project/Program Manager with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to lead complex IT transformation projects. The role involves working across IT and business teams with a focus on project governance, execution, and delivering business-aligned technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate complex programs or projects across cross-functional teams
Develop and maintain project charters, plans, budgets, and status reports
Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
Ensure adherence to project governance and change management standards
Collaborate with PMs and Scrum Masters to manage timelines and execution

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor s degree (4-year)
8+ years of experience in project/program management

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project
Proficient in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Familiarity with mainframe and distributed application environments
Preferred experience with Caterpillar dealer system integrations
Knowledge of IT governance, controls, and budget oversight

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Effective project planning and organizational skills

Typical Daily Tasks:

Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives
Partner with other PMs/Scrum Masters for execution
Manage operational governance processes
Ensure alignment with IT and business goals

Work Environment:

On-site role, 5 days per week at Caterpillar s Peoria, IL location
Frequent interaction with both IT and business teams
