Business Analyst

Must have Insurance Industry experience. Any TPA insurance (Third Party Administrator) experience would be a big plus!
In this role, you ll act as the critical link between our business stakeholders and technical teams to help deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance the insurance customer experience, streamline operations, and improve data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders across administration, operations, and finance teams to identify, define, and document business and functional requirements.
Translate insurance business processes into technical workflows and user stories for engineering teams.
Collaborate with developers to ensure technology solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and user expectations.
Develop process maps, data flow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups to support system designs and enhancements.
Conduct gap analyses on legacy systems and propose improvements.
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in an agile environment using the Scrum framework.
Facilitate sprint review and demonstrations for business stakeholders.
Build and maintain technology roadmaps and project plans.
Perform testing and validation of application enhancements and file exchange processes.
Work with trading partners to align on file specifications and ensure best practices are followed for implementation.
Collaborate with other Business Analysts to share best practices and identify opportunities for synergy.
Monitor project progress and support change management through documentation and stakeholder training.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, insurance regulations, and industry standards.
Strong understanding of insurance products and insurance operations.
Familiarity with insurance-specific systems such as policy administration and trading partner integrations.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps, Confluence, ServiceNow, Microsoft Visio, and Excel.
Experience:
BA or BS degree in Business, Information Systems, Insurance, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in insurance or a related industry.
Familiarity with the insurance industry specifically group benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.).
Experience working for or with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).
Technical ability in SQL, Power BI, and/or Microsoft Azure.
Experience with modernizing legacy applications.
Estimated Min Rate: $98000.00
Estimated Max Rate: $140000.00
