Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and managing engineering / technology projects. Interfaces with internal/external customers to ensure organization resource allocation is made. Accountable to deliver and manage the scope of work to the original cost estimate.
- Drives successful project execution using earned value management techniques
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others
- Ability to build and integrate complex schedules and dependencies across multiple projects
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
- Independently performs critical path analysis to understand project schedules, risks and proposes mitigation strategies
- Utilizes Flight Deck fundamentals and tools as a foundation for project management and problem solving
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience (Including project management or Program Management) GE will require proof of status.
