Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer for Armament. Applicant will be working as part of the Weapons Integration organization in the F-35 Armament Team. The team has the overall design, development, testing, and integration responsibility for a number of mechanical and structural components and systems. These include the following systems: Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) which consists of pylons, adapters, launchers, and other in-house designed hardware, Suspension and Release Equipment Systems (S&RES) which include very high-pressure pneumatic ejection systems, Gun Systems (both internal and missionized pods), and the Stores Management System (SMS).
The responsibilities for this position will primarily involve design, production support, and end user support for Alternate Mission Equipment. Tasking will include mechanical design and integration, engineering release, and manufacturing support for developmental efforts and production and field support for fielded equipment.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Mechanical Engineering process and analysis. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree
- Aerospace engineering related experience
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or equivalent
- Computerized modeling and drafting experience

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and to understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing notations
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to formulate logical approaches to resolving technical problems and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Hardware design experience
- Ability to work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers
- Microsoft Office Skills; of particular importance: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
