UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Project Manager with Certification in Cybersecurity for a hybrid position in Brooklyn, NY. to support the management and optimization of a complex portfolio of enterprise and citywide cybersecurity initiatives. Candidates with an active LinkedIn preferred. This role requires extensive experience leading large-scale technical projects across multiple stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional teams, and overseeing cybersecurity program delivery from planning through closeout. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in cybersecurity project management, governance, risk assessment, and enterprise security implementations within public sector environments.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not meet the mandatory requirements will not be considered.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing technical projects, including enterprise-level initiatives
  • At least 1 year of Agile development experience
  • At least 1 year of experience managing DMARC implementation projects and programs
  • At least 1 year of experience managing enterprise-level email security projects and programs
  • At least 1 year of experience managing projects focused on network intelligence and network security monitoring
  • Demonstrated experience translating executive or leadership vision into actionable implementation plans
  • Proven ability to develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses to proactively identify and mitigate project issues
  • Strong experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including internal staff, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Experience leading daily project meetings and providing weekly project reports and metrics to leadership and stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience managing Proofs-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives for new technology solutions
  • Proficiency using Jira, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or other modern project management tools
  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems Management, Business Administration, or significant coursework in these areas
  • Prior experience working with local, state, or federal government entities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Industry-recognized project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, CSP-SM) preferred
  • Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CISM, CISSP, GIAC) preferred

SCOPE OF SERVICES

  • Support cybersecurity leadership in managing and optimizing a portfolio of enterprise cybersecurity programs and control deployments
  • Coordinate across multiple agencies, stakeholders, vendors, and information-sharing partners
  • Translate leadership objectives into structured, achievable project implementation plans
  • Track and report on organizational and program objectives
  • Lead daily project meetings in alignment with established policies and governance standards
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans
  • Manage Proofs-of-Concept for new security technologies as part of existing or standalone initiatives
  • Perform ongoing risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity services and solutions
  • Oversee vendor selection activities including RFI/RFP development, evaluation, and contractor management
  • Provide regular reporting, metrics, and status updates to stakeholders
  • Support issue resolution, budget oversight, and project closeout activities
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and stakeholders
