Azure MDM Data Architect / Solution Architect Master Data Management

Job Description:

Responsibilities: MDM Solution Architect will play a key role in designing and implementing a MDM Platform. Would be required to collaborate with the cross-functional architecture team to review/define integrations between the MDM platform and business applications and enforce best practices in MDM implementation and adoption. This position will report to the Sr. Product Owner Enterprise MDM

Key activities:

Technical Leadership

• Design an MDM architecture that covers ingestion from sources, data quality improvements, and creating Canonical structures for publishing master data.
• Communicate with source system application owners and business partners on socializing the customer master roadmap.
• Guide ETL/Integration teams on best practices to integrate MDM with sources and consumers
• Drive value capture through remediation to Official Sources and decommissioning point-to-point interfaces from sources and unofficial data repositories.

Data access, provisioning, and security

• Monitor cross-BU data provisioning to ensure provisioning is done via official sources.
• Authorize official sources and manage exceptions for non-compliance.
• Ensure new data initiatives and related projects align with organization-wide target data architecture, including review and approval of key design documents.
• Review Data security, access, and provisioning policies.

Technical standards and tools

• Define/review technical data standards.
• Support selection and implementation of tools for MDM, Catalog, data quality, and integration

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years in management role
• 8+ years in Master Data management, Data Quality, and building MDM Platforms
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud platforms, preferably Azure

Additional Requirements

Desired Skills and Experiences

• Strong leadership experience working in a matrixed organization.
• Exceptional understanding of MDM architecture and integration patterns
• Should have experience in 2-3 full-cycle MDM Implementations
• Hands-on experience in one of the MDM products Informatica (IDMC), STIBO Step Platform or Reltio
• Influencing skills with suppliers and customers
• Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions.
• Bias for action, with ability to deliver outstanding results through task prioritization and time management.
• Openness to working in agile environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Professional attitude and service orientation; team player"
