We are seeking a PeopleSoft HCM Technical Architect to provide leadership, design, and technical expertise in the development and customization of large-scale PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. The consultant will make high-level design choices, establish technical standards, and oversee the implementation of complex architecture and component interactions.
This role requires advanced experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, People Tools, Oracle SQL, and reporting tools, with demonstrated ability to guide large teams and deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define high-level design choices and enforce technical standards, including coding best practices, tools, and platform usage.
- Design and implement multi-level architecture and large-scale system component interactions.
- Develop, customize, and maintain interface programs in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 using PeopleSoft Application Designer.
- Perform data analysis, queries, and reporting using SQL on Oracle databases to support PeopleSoft functions.
- Create, configure, and optimize reports using PeopleSoft Reporting Tools such as PS Queries and BI Publisher.
- Configure and support workflow processes using Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
- Work with integration tools such as Integration Broker to manage data exchange across systems.
- Support and execute people Tools and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) upgrades.
- Configure and customize Smart HR Templates, Application Packages, and related functionalities.
- Implement and maintain Fluid technology, Work centers, Activity Guides, Dashboards, and Page/Field Configurator.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide expert-level guidance and mentoring to project teams.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 7+ Years of experience developing customizations and interface programs in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 using PeopleSoft Application Designer with People Tools 8.53 or higher.
- 7+ Years of experience writing SQL queries against an Oracle relational database to support PeopleSoft tasks.
- 7+ Years of experience using PeopleSoft Reporting Tools (PS Queries and BI Publisher).
- 6+ Years of experience configuring workflow with Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
- 5+ Years of experience with PeopleSoft Integration Tools, including Integration Broker.
- 4+ Years of experience performing people Tools and PUM upgrades.
- 3+ Years of experience configuring/customizing Smart HR Templates and Application Packages.
- 3+ Years of experience implementing and supporting Fluid, Work centers, Activity Guides, Dashboards, and Page/Field Configurator.
Candidate Profile
- Recognized as an Expert in the field with at least 7+ months of PeopleSoft HCM experience.
- Proven ability to guide large teams and deliver complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Albany, NY.
