The BDS M&PT (Materials & Processes Technology) team is seeking a Materials and Processes Engr - Chemical / Hazardous Material to join the Chemical Evaluation / Hazardous Materials Management engineering group in Oklahoma City, OK (OKC). The candidate will be joining a team responsible for developing, defining, and driving Engineering and Technology requirements across multiple programs, focusing on Commercial Derivative Military Aircraft Programs in the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) portfolio.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Position Responsibilities:
- Support the design, manufacturing, maintenance, modifications, and upgrades applied to various airframes
- Reviewing engineering drawings for correct M&P callouts, design, finishes and hazardous materials
- Create and revise specifications and reports
- Perform root cause analyses of coatings, chemical processing, sealing and corrosion related issues and recommend solutions
- Support hazardous materials inquiries in an integrated product team (IPT) environment
- Interface with Boeing personnel and with outside suppliers, Air Force, Navy and international customers
- Have the ability to expand beyond the assigned chemical technology skill such as supporting efforts related to metallic and non-metallic materials and related manufacturing processing.
- Be a self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently but also willing to work and learn from others
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. And a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience or a Master's degree (Level 2)
- 1+ years of engineering experience
- 1+ years of experience in developing solutions to technical problems by applying working knowledge, engineering and scientific principles
Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of coatings, sealing, chemical processing technology, and familiarity with identification and reporting of hazardous materials management for aerospace applications
- Chemical and / or Materials Science Engineering
- Prior program work experience with aircraft is desired
- Strong knowledge of filtering large datasets using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access Database, etc. Basic knowledge of VBA is preferred
