Job Title: Operations Systems Engineer, Associate Job ID: 25-07717 Location: Vacaville, CA Duration: 12 months on W2 Contract

Description:

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. This role will be hybrid with One visit to the office per week, and the rest of the week remote. Office visits will increase in the near future, we still don't have an exact date of when.

Position Overview:
The Operations Systems Engineer supports Electric Grid Operations (EGO) and Transmission Operations Engineering (TOE). Responsibilities include troubleshooting Linux systems, coordinating with EMS project leads, strategic planning for EMS infrastructure, and collaborating with departments to manage system performance and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Linux system troubleshooting and admin tasks.

  • Project support: testing, documentation, and addressing EMS process gaps.

  • Collaborating with EMS staff for system updates and changes.

Qualifications:

  • 0 3 years of experience in system engineering.

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS, cloud technologies, and scripting tools.

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Operational knowledge of Linux and experience with real-time systems testing/integration.


The hourly rate for this position is between $35.00 - $37.00 per hour.
