Position Overview
The Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration (DFA) / Mississippi Management and Reporting System (MMRS) is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Lead Developer to lead the ABAP development team supporting the Mississippi Accountability System of Government Information and Collaboration (MAGIC) SAP system. This role includes providing SAP system support and integration with SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and multiple third-party systems.
The Lead Developer will work closely with state resources to develop, enhance, and maintain the MAGIC SAP environment and related integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 10-15 ABAP developers.
Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, with a strong focus on Object-Oriented ABAP.
Support integration of SuccessFactors EC and various third-party vendor systems with SAP.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Provide mentorship and training to public sector employees at various experience levels.
Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of SAP system incidents.
Assist in migration activities between third-party systems and SAP environments.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8 years experience as an SAP Lead Developer managing teams.
Minimum 8 years experience in SAP ABAP design and development, including Object-Oriented ABAP.
Functional expertise in at least three of the following modules:
Finance (FI)
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Logistics (LO)
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
SROS
Master Data Management (MDM)
Human Capital Management (HCM)
SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC)
Minimum 4 years experience supporting SAP operational systems in the Public Sector.
Minimum 2 years experience training and mentoring public sector employees.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the State of Mississippi (SOMS) MAGIC system development.
Minimum 2 years experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central Cloud Platform Integration.
Experience with SAP Process Integration (PI).
Familiarity with Redwood CPS/RMJ job scheduling tools.
Experience migrating data and processes between third-party vendor systems and SAP.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for SAP incidents.
