Position Overview

Join a centralized design enablement team that supports product experiences across multiple business units-ranging from communications and search to content and commerce. This team plays a pivotal role in translating brand identity into scalable, product-level design standards, ensuring visual and experiential consistency across platforms.

This role centers on Product Design Documentation-crafting clear, engaging, and accessible resources that define design principles and components for use by designers and engineers alike.

Role Focus

The primary mission: build and maintain a robust documentation ecosystem that captures design guidelines, principles, and best practices. You'll collaborate across design disciplines-brand, product, systems-and work closely with engineering partners to ensure alignment and usability.

This is a hands-on role for a seasoned product designer who thrives on structure, clarity, and storytelling. You'll be expected to architect documentation systems from the ground up, integrating legacy materials and elevating them into cohesive, shareable formats that go beyond static repositories.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce visually compelling documentation for design elements including color, typography, components, and usage guidance
• Partner with brand, illustration, product, and systems teams to ensure cross-functional alignment
• Bridge brand identity with product execution through clear examples and demos
• Collaborate with Accessibility and Content teams to ensure inclusive, consistent design standards
• Advocate for documentation that is not only informative but engaging and actionable

Required Skills

• Figma: Expert-level proficiency; primary design tool
• Webflow: Required for building and maintaining documentation sites
• Strong foundation in Product Design, Visual Design, Typography, and Systems Thinking
• Proven experience working with design systems and creating documentation
• Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills
• Portfolio showcasing both product design and documentation work

Bonus Skills

• Experience with motion design, illustration, or brand expression
• Familiarity with translating design for front-end engineering teams
• Background in enterprise, tech, or media environments preferred-but not required

Experience Level

This is a senior-level opportunity for a designer with a track record of shipping product and building documentation frameworks. Freelance experience is welcome if it demonstrates the required depth and expertise. This is not an entry-level or junior documentation role.
