Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – High Voltage Electromechanical
Location: San Jose, CA
Job Type: Contract
Work Authorization: Client W2 Only (No C2C / No Transfers)

Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support high-voltage electromechanical product development from concept through production. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on design experience, supplier coordination skills, and ownership of validation and build activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks

  • Lead mechanical design activities across concept, prototype, validation, and production phases

  • Manage component design, development, and qualification with suppliers

  • Define technical interface requirements and specifications

  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T

  • Drive DFM/DFA, resolve manufacturing issues, and support validation schedules

  • Conduct supplier site visits for manufacturing and process validation

  • Generate and release part/assembly drawings and EBOMs in Agile PLM

  • Prepare engineering documentation: DFMEA, PFMEA, work instructions

  • Independently manage mechanical engineering projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 6+ years of Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering experience

  • 3+ years of High Voltage Electromechanical Design experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks

  • Strong experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, supplier coordination

  • Experience with Agile PLM, EBOM creation, DFM/DFA

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with high-power or HV systems

  • On-site supplier manufacturing support experience
