Managing Technical Consultant ServiceNow (SAM)
Remote Role

Overview:
Client is seeking an experienced Sr. ServiceNow Technical Consultant with a strong background in implementing ServiceNow solutions, specifically Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and IT Service Management (ITSM). This role supports ongoing expansion and transformation initiatives, delivering innovative solutions to clients across multiple sectors.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, focusing on ITAM, HAM, and SAM

  • Design and implement solutions that meet client requirements in collaboration with architecture teams

  • Optimize and maintain ServiceNow applications for performance and scalability

  • Lead code reviews and enforce development best practices

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers

  • Develop integrations with other systems and applications

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow technical issues

  • Incorporate new ServiceNow features and technologies into client solutions

  • Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Work with business analysts/project managers to develop appropriate technical solutions

  • Document and gain approval of final solutions

  • Execute technical solutions as a Sr. consultant

  • Contribute to development of internal IP solutions on ServiceNow

  • Coach and advise other developers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of ServiceNow design and development experience

  • Hands-on experience in developing and customizing ITAM, ITSM, custom apps, and SAM

  • Experience creating technical design documents from business requirements

  • Experience configuring ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping, including MID server setup

  • Experience with custom integrations (REST/SOAP, Flow Designer, Data Stream, Scripted REST API)

  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain large-scale applications and systems

  • Experience in at least two full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations as a lead consultant

  • Strong requirements gathering experience

  • Programming expertise in Java, JavaScript, or other relevant languages
