Pay Rate: $65-$70/hr on W2


Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Board Verification Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. This role will focus on Datacenter GPU pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, ensuring platform-level reliability and performance. You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to define test strategies, execute validation plans, and drive issue resolution across all program phases. This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for engineers who excel in board-level validation, power electronics, FPGA/CPLD development, and test automation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop, and execute GPU PCBA validation test plans with cross-functional teams.

  • Create and implement platform validation flows ensuring comprehensive coverage.

  • Develop and execute debug strategies to resolve design and system-level issues.

  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and infrastructure teams to assess risks, review designs, and ensure seamless integration.

  • Perform laboratory validation of new board designs to confirm compliance with specifications.

  • Support teams during characterization and launch phases, troubleshooting system-level issues.

  • Establish and maintain dashboards for tracking tasks, issues, and lessons learned.

  • Review and select power components (PWM controllers, transistors, magnetics, capacitors) for multiphase converters.

  • Communicate concise project and issue updates to stakeholders and management.


Required Skills/Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master s preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of power electronics with emphasis on multiphase converters.

  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, current probes, electronic loads, and protocol analyzers.

  • Proficiency with circuit simulation tools (PSPICE, LTSPICE, SIMPLIS).

  • Familiarity with FPGA and CPLD development.

  • Knowledge of schematic capture, circuit design, layout review, routing constraints, and simulation.

  • Experience with power and signal integrity analysis.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard protocols (I2C, SPI, I3C, SVI2/3, PCIe Gen 5).

  • Expertise in high-speed interface characterization.

  • Test automation skills using Python, Perl, Tcl, or LabView.

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Leadership and mentoring experience is a plus.
