The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesforce Lead to act as a crucial liaison between our business unit heads and our Salesforce development team. This individual will be a strategic partner, deeply understanding business challenges, identifying process improvement opportunities, and translating complex business needs into actionable Salesforce solutions. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing the value of our Salesforce platform, driving efficiency, and enhancing user experience across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership & Requirements Gathering (50%)
- Proactively engage with business unit heads and key stakeholders across departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Service, Operations) to understand their current processes, challenges, and strategic objectives.
- Conduct in-depth interviews, workshops, and data analysis to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement leveraging Salesforce capabilities.
- Document detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with business goals.
- Prioritize requirements based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic impact.
- Facilitate discussions and build consensus among diverse stakeholders, managing expectations and navigating potential conflicts.
Solution Design & Strategy (25%):
- Translate business requirements into feasible and scalable Salesforce solutions, considering out-of-the-box functionalities, AppExchange solutions, and custom development where necessary.
- Design optimal Salesforce configurations, including object models, workflows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and security settings.
- Collaborate closely with the Salesforce development team to ensure solution designs are technically sound, maintainable, and align with best practices.
- Propose innovative solutions that leverage new Salesforce features or emerging technologies to address business needs.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our current Salesforce ecosystem, integrations, and data architecture.
Liaison & Communication (15%):
- Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the Salesforce development team, ensuring seamless communication and understanding.
- Clearly articulate business needs to developers and technical constraints/possibilities to business stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings, stand-ups, and review sessions to ensure alignment and progress on projects.
- Manage expectations regarding project timelines, scope, and deliverables.
- Provide regular updates and reports to business unit heads and senior management on Salesforce initiatives and their impact.
Team Leadership & Mentorship (10%):
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Salesforce administrators or business analysts within the team.
- Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Stay abreast of Salesforce releases, new features, and industry best practices, and evangelize their adoption where appropriate.
- Participate in the overall Salesforce governance process and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce, with at least 2 years in a lead business analyst, solution architect, or similar client-facing role.
- Proven experience gathering and documenting complex business requirements for Salesforce implementations or enhancements.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Experience Cloud functionalities.
- Demonstrated ability to design and configure Salesforce solutions (e.g., custom objects, fields, workflows, process builder, reports, dashboards).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Service Cloud Consultant certifications.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, or Lightning Web Components (LWC) concepts (no coding required, but understanding capabilities is a plus).
- Experience with data migration and integration strategies.
