Job Details

Title: Senior Project Manager ( Medicare programs and regulations)

Location: Eagan, MN

Duration: Initially a contract and possibilities to covert to full-time.

Notes:

  1. This role is hybrid, requiring 2 3 days per week onsite at the Eagan, MN office.
  2. We are seeking candidates with a strong understanding of Medicare programs and regulations. Prior experience with health plans is preferred.

The Impact You Will Have

This position provides leadership, strategic direction, and program management for key enterprise initiatives and transformation projects to ensure expected progress and achieve desired outcomes. The individual in this role will directly engage with key senior leaders and stakeholders, ensuring coordination and integration with product teams and initiatives, while ensuring collaboration, coordination, and timely issue resolution.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Drive the coordination of development and documentation for design, requirements/user stories and implementation across 2-4 divisions that align with strategic priorities.
  2. Develop relationships and partner with key resources, both internal and external, to collaborate on the implementation plan and dependencies to ensure all considerations are factored into the initiative.
  3. Partner in the business/product team decision making process to ensure capabilities, systems and processes meet expectations and potential issues/solutions are vetted and explored.
  4. Manage related ongoing program management work to understand what is needed to recommend strategy and solutions, while influencing and steering others to accomplish that strategy across complex initiatives.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making Utilizes data to prioritize initiatives that create the most value
  6. Develop and update program or project plans, timelines and deliverables while coordinating multiple sub-processes to expand and/or improve programs across complex initiatives.
  7. Stakeholder Management Communicates updates and milestones to leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment across all levels of the organization.
  8. Maintain workplan and manage overall effort, assist with scheduling meetings and capturing notes
  9. Follow up on deliverables with accountable persons
  10. Perform other general project admin as required
  11. Coordinates and delivers complex, cross enterprise initiatives in a product led organization, while ensuring quality and timeliness criteria are met to achieve initiative objectives
  12. Ensures strategic initiatives adhere to a standard change control process and budget tracking
  13. Cross-Functional Coordination Work across teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and remove roadblocks, enabling faster execution

Required Skills and Experience

  1. 5+ years of professional related experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  2. Ability to understand and clearly communicate business and technical details in a manner that all audiences can understand, including and up to executives
  3. Ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  4. Strong critical thinking skills and problem solving/conflict resolution skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong facilitation, negotiation and presentation skills, adapting approach as needed.
  6. Excellent continuous quality improvement and/or project management skills
  7. Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and demonstrated ability to work under tight time frames.
  8. Strong conflict resolution, facilitation and negotiation skills; capable of adapting the approach as needed.
  9. Proven ability to handle a variety of assignments in a fast paced, product led, and complex business environment.
  10. Proven ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  11. Experience leading documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries
  12. High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  13. Previous CMS Start experience with emphasis on MN Medicare

Nice to Have:

  1. Bachelor s degree
  2. Certification in project or product management
  3. Certification in agile methodologies
  4. Previous Health Plan experience
