This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.
Job Description Qualifications: Tester
Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) located in Oklahoma City, is seeking highly qualified airborne battle managers with sensor experience and flight technicians to integrate and test leading edge solutions to directly support the warfighter. Boeing OKC supports the following platforms; Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) for US, Saudi and NATO, Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEWC) for Australia, Turkey, United Kingdom and Korea, B-1 Strike Bomber, B-2 Stealth Bomber, B-52 Heavy Bomber, and the ALCM weapon. These platforms continue to be updated to keep them relevant and supportive of emerging military systems. Upgrades include state-of-the-art radar systems, hypersonic weapons systems, and cutting edge digital communication infrastructure.Candidates selected for this position will work in the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) SEIT supporting various international airborne command and control platforms. They will develop tests based on requirements, execute the testing and verify functional requirements. Work also includes working in the laboratory with software and hardware engineers to resolve complex issues.
Position Responsibilities:
Operates the airborne mission systems equipment in the integration laboratory.
Applies systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to the integration of system requirements
Creates test procedures and documents test results to ensure Mission Systems integration requirements are met.
Performs data analysis to document evidence of compliance to requirements.
Gathers information to support integration project management. Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics.
Troubleshoots mission systems integration issues with the hardware and software engineers.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship.
Export Control:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires ship
Basic Qualifications:
AWACS/E-7 operator or Ground based operator or tester (any will do)
Experience performing military systems verification testing
Preferred Qualifications / Desired Skills
Link-16/BLOS/DLO Operator / MAJIC / Planner classes or JICO patch
ES/EW operator / Electronic Warefare college
Airborne Radio Technician / Comm technician
Former AWACS operator preferred
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Associates or Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).
