Job Details
Join a dynamic team as an Assistant Editor in Tempe, AZ, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping and refining content. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your editing expertise in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in editing and preparing content for publication, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to develop engaging and accurate editorial content.
- Maintain consistency and alignment with editorial guidelines across all materials.
- Support the editorial team in managing content schedules and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Technical Writers, WFS PMs, and PXT stakeholder to deliver on requests to update and publish content in our Content Management System (CMS) within defined contact SLAs and delivery timelines.
- Review and edit written content for grammar and spelling, accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Transform segments of the content portfolio from single-use to a reusable “headless” content structure, chunking unstructured long-form content into structured components.
- Audit existing content and editing for consistency across all content.
Required Skills:
Basic Qualification
- 2+ years’ of editing experience OR 4+ bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, editorial, English or a related field
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- High attention to detail
- Good judgment and open communication
- Experience editing content to align with a style guide
- Advanced English language skills with full proficiency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation (minimum C1)
- Experience working with reusable or “headless" content
