Large Language Model (LLM) Scientist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking a Large Language Model Scientist with specialized experience in Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to join their team.

Summary:
The Large Language Model Scientist will be instrumental in the development, optimization, and deployment of RAG-based LLM Solutions that meets business needs. They will have a deep understanding of Data Science, ML, NLP and LLM fundamentals. The ideal candidate has experience with agent-based prompting techniques (ex: LangChain), API-driven development architectures for AI products LLM, usage of vector databases, and information retrieval pipelines to extract insights. In addition, the Large Language Model Scientist should have the ability to listen to and understand business needs to design and create problems to solve specific problems for stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of Python, ML, AWS Cloud Computing experience
* 1+ years of experience in NLP and LLMs, with a strong focus on Retrieval Augmented Generation models
* Familiarity with AWS Bedrock LLM suite models and associated prompting strategies
* Proficiency in Python for data science and AI development
* Familiarity with agent-based LLM frameworks (e.g.,LangChain)
* Experience with AI training frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers
* Experience with prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs for specific applications
* Knowledge of vector databases and experience with embedding techniques
* Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:
* Use of orchestration tools for AI product development (e.g, ArgoCD)
* Ability to create and explain diagrams for data and solution flows to communicate solutions and data/AI processes to team members and internal stakeholders
* LLM UI/Frontend Design deployment experience.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
