Position Summary
Seeking an Endpoint Security Consultant for a 4 6 month engagement to strengthen system security, address identified vulnerabilities, and drive patching and compliance initiatives. This role requires a hands-on professional who can immediately take ownership of vulnerability remediation, working closely with IT leadership and business teams to ensure a secure and compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Search out, remediate, and document vulnerabilities identified from recent security assessments.
  • Chase, kill, and write exceptions for vulnerabilities based on risk, business impact, and compliance requirements.
  • Execute patching and compliance activities, leveraging SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) and MCM.
  • Inherit and manage a prioritized roadmap of vulnerabilities, delivering immediate and impactful results.
  • Support new system/server builds and contribute to server migration projects, including domain migrations.
  • Travel locally to branch locations as needed to decommission outdated gear and remediate vulnerabilities tied to hardware or infrastructure.
  • Work with Microsoft technologies (SCCM, Azure, MS Suite), VMware, and other enterprise tools to strengthen endpoint security.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, balancing security enforcement with empathy and strong communication skills to minimize disruption.
  • Provide clear documentation of remediation steps, exceptions, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Endpoint Security Consultant, or similar role with a focus on patching and vulnerability management.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM).
  • Strong background in patching, compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Hands-on experience with server builds and migrations, particularly domain migrations.
  • Familiarity with Azure, VMware, and Microsoft enterprise solutions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally to branch offices for decommissioning activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to balance aggressive remediation efforts with empathetic stakeholder management.
  • Banking or financial industry experience is a plus, but not required.
