Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Pointe-Claire, Montr al, QC
Pay Rate: CAD C$87,981 to C$89,205

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing on all plant equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Install new electrical equipment and circuits in compliance with electrical code standards.
• Participate in regular inspection rounds on equipment (checklists).
• Contribute to the investigation and resolution of recurring equipment issues.
• Adhere to ISO-9001 procedures.
• Perform any other related tasks as required.

Education & Experience:

• College diploma (DEC) in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or equivalent training.
• Valid C License in Electricity (mandatory).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to health and safety, with respect for ISO procedures.
• Availability to work the night shift schedule listed above.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a hot and demanding production environment.
• Good command of French, both spoken and written.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and technical drawings, and apply findings effectively.
• Strong skills in diagnosing and solving complex issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automated control systems.
• Proficiency in TIG, arc, and stick welding.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills and Certifications:

• Possession of an electrical license C
• College diploma (DEC) in electromechanics, industrial mechanics, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles
