Description:
We are looking for a Network Engineer who will be responsible for leading the planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the network to operational sites and help where needed. Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to perform network installations, perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel. This role will be primarily in Colorado Springs, CO in the long-term, however, this role must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties such as deployments.

Location: Full-time/Onsite at Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO

Security Clearance: Secret required

Pay Rate: $115,000 - $125,000

Responsibilities:
Must have knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies.

Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.

Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Must have firewall knowledge in Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto

Must have knowledge of UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.

Must have knowledge of multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.

Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.

Must thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment.

Experience Requirements:
Hands on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies and automated test tools. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to change

Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions

Works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources

Frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Education Requirements:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5+ years of professional experience; or 3+ years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.

DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II
