Job: Product Manager AI & Utilities
Location: Houston, TX OR open to 100% Remote
Term: CTH, or Long-Term Contract
Interview Process: 2 Rounds - 30 minutes each. Panel - Leadership
Remote: 1 2 days in the office if local to Houston, if remote they need to travel to Houston office Bi-Monthly or maybe once a quarter
Project: Product Managers handle 5 7 multifaceted products at a time. Must have experience with $1M+ project budgets and working with a team of 15-20+, they do not need to be managing but acting as a lead would be ideal
Nature of the position: Need someone with with both AI + Utilities experience - Utilities experience is number 1 priority, AI would be a huge 2nd
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of 5 7 complex enterprise-level products simultaneously.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams (15 20+ people including developers, stakeholders, and business leads) without direct reports.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of product roadmaps, backlogs, and business cases aligned with strategic goals.
  • Interface with various enterprise functions, including customer-facing applications, field operations, grid operations, and internal teams like HR and call centres.
  • Work on high-visibility initiatives such as enterprise-wide chatbots, marketing and customer data tools, and campaign targeting systems.
  • Present product strategies and updates to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams clearly and effectively.
  • Leverage data insights to drive decisions - ability to interpret and navigate BI tools like Power BI or Tableau (No hands-on development required, but strong functional understanding is expected).
Required Qualifications:
  • 7 10 years of Product Management experience, ideally in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record of managing products with $1M+ budgets.
  • Experience working across multiple product lines or domains, not limited to a single siloed product team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Strong experience building business cases, managing product backlogs, and aligning product vision with organizational goals.
  • Solid understanding of data analytics and performance metrics; able to navigate dashboards and extract actionable insights.
Key Details:
  • Background in the utilities or energy industry is a must-have.
  • Experience with AI-powered platforms or products (strong plus).
  • Previous experience working in enterprise environments with hybrid or matrixed teams.
Not a Fit If:
  • You have only worked on a single product or within a single business unit.
  • You've been in a purely executional role with limited strategic or cross-functional exposure.
  • You lack experience dealing with enterprise-wide stakeholder communication or multi-product environments.
