Job Details

Financial / Banking client has an opportunity for a Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Network Engineer to create and manage network services & landing zone for Google Cloud Platform cloud migration project. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and learning attitude. Strong hands-on experience working in Google cloud migrations, create and manage resilient & secured network services (VPC, subnets, firewalls, VPN, load balancers etc.,). Must have Terraform, Ansible IaaC experience to build network platform/services and troubleshoot to resolve infrastructure, network issues. Plans and implements secure, reliable network connectivity within Google Cloud Platform.

Location: Chicago, IL and Austin, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involve in Google cloud migration and build secured & resilient network services.
  • Designs and configures virtual networks (VPCs, subnets), firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers using IaaC (Terraform/Ansible).
  • Design & deploy Google Cloud Platform network service/infrastructure meeting security compliance and resiliency.
  • Implement network security controls and monitoring using Terraform.
  • Network security hardening, monitor & alerting services using Ansible.
  • Periodic review to update network standards, security standards, cost optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, propose & implement solutions for stable environment.

Core Experience:

  • 6+ years of Google cloud migration and building network infrastructure for large clients.
  • 6+ years of building cloud networking and setting up resilient & secured connectivity.
  • 4+ years of Infrastructure as a Code using Terraform, Ansible & Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • 4+ years of CI GitLab / CD Octopus for infrastructure/network deployments.
  • Linux troubleshooting e.g. networking, performance issues.
  • Good documentation skills and knowledge sharing with team.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer & Terraform Associate certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Must be responsible, interpersonal self-starter, excellent communicator, and problem solver.
  • Motivated learner without requiring constant supervision.
