Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Analyst for a short-term contract focused on building data pipelines, data management, and business intelligence solutions to support our data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage modern data technologies to extract, process, and visualize complex datasets, ensuring data quality and enabling self-service analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Spark, SQL, Python, and Databricks to mine and process complex, diverse data from Onelake, Snowflake, and various databases/platforms.
  • Build robust, well-managed data pipelines and solutions to support scalable self-service frameworks for business data consumers.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to manage data access governance and implement security mechanisms.
  • Develop and execute tools to monitor, assess, and report on data quality.
  • Create metrics, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts for business stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Spark, SQL, Python, and Databricks for data processing and pipeline development.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Onelake, or similar data platforms.
  • Proven ability to build and manage ETL pipelines and scalable data solutions.
  • Familiarity with data quality monitoring and governance best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating dashboards and visualizations using BI tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working within Agile environments.
  • Exposure to cloud data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) for data engineering tasks.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance practices.
