Job Description: 

Cloud team is seeking an experienced AWS/Google Cloud Platform Architect with a specialization in cloud migration, including AWS to Google Cloud Platform and SharePoint to Google Cloud Platform migrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructures and services on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), with a focus on migrating services and applications between these cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design innovative cloud solutions on AWS and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Expertise in migrating from AWS to Google Cloud Platform and SharePoint to Google Cloud Platform.
• Oversee AWS and Google Cloud Platform infrastructures, optimizing for cost efficiency and performance.
• Implement and manage security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Manage deployment and operations of applications on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop comprehensive migration plans for AWS to Google Cloud Platform and SharePoint to Google Cloud Platform transitions.
• Execute migrations ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Ensure cloud architectures adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.
• Implement robust security measures and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership in cloud strategy and architectural best practices for AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Serve as a consultant to internal teams on cloud-related initiatives.
• Monitor cloud environments post-migration for operational efficiency.
• Optimize systems for performance and cost-effectiveness following migration.
• Monitor and optimize cloud spending for efficient resource utilization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as an AWS/Google Cloud Platform Architect, with a strong focus on cloud migrations.
• Deep understanding of AWS and Google Cloud Platform services, cloud design patterns, and cloud operations.
• Proven experience in architecting, deploying, and managing AWS and Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Expertise in cloud security, compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex migration projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform certifications are required.

The rate range for roles of this nature are $60 to $80/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
