3Core Systems is looking for a Jira Consultant for one of our clients in Boca Raton, FL
Role: Jira Consultant Location: Boca Raton, FL Duration: 12 Months
Note from client:
We are using it for Jira Service Management (JSM) only to leverage various types of tickets and the corresponding documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and understand current pain points and structure of Jira Service Management (JSM). Consideration given to required audit / compliance controls
- Implement and help build the internal maintenance and support structure for the Jira Service Management environment: user accounts, groups, permissions, project configuration, workflows, screens, fields, notification schemes.
- Configure and customize service desk/ITSM specific features: request types, customer portals, queues, SLAs, workflows aligned to service management processes.
- Work with stakeholders (IT operations, support teams, business units) to gather requirements and translate into Jira configurations (workflows, automation rules, fields, user roles).
- Create and maintain dashboards, filters, reports to monitor performance, service levels, trends and support decision-making.
- Integrate Jira Service Management with other tools/systems (e.g., CMDB/asset management, notification tools, DevOps tooling, LDAP/Active Directory).
- Provide training, support and documentation for end? users and project teams: help them use the portal, dashboards, tickets, and reporting tools effectively.
- Provide requirement for conducting system audits, regular cleanup/maintenance (archiving old projects, removing inactive users, cleaning up unused workflows/fields) to maintain performance, governance and security.
- Ensure the platform is secure, compliant with organizational policies (access controls, permissions schemes, user roles), and supports the ITSM framework (e.g., ITIL) where applicable.
