Jr-Mid Level Windows System Administrator

This company specializes in economic and quantitative analysis, offering expertise in economic analysis and expert testimony for clients navigating intricate legal proceedings, regulatory matters, and other challenges encompassing antitrust, class certification, intellectual property, and labor and employment issues.

The candidate will need to come on site their Washington D.C. Office 3 days a week.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Manage the deployment of virtual machines both on-premises and in the cloud, encompassing operating systems, applications, and updates.
  • Administer the setup, upkeep, and supervision of all IT infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, network switches, firewalls, laptops, and printers.
  • Collaborate with departments to supervise patching processes across all systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate backup and recovery protocols regularly to ensure system reliability.
  • Provide support to the Service Desk when necessary and be available on-call from 5pm to 10pm.
  • Conduct in-depth technical research and advocate for solutions that enhance efficiency across IT operations, user experiences, and client services. This includes advancements in compute technology, storage solutions, database management, machine learning, analytics, automation, and cloud integration.
  • Implement ITIL principles and adhere to best practices like incident handling, change management, and asset tracking.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies to maintain comprehensive records and promote operational transparency.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 1-3 years of applicable experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in network administration, including troubleshooting both LAN and WAN setups.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems with a focus on patching.
  • Experience in scripting or programming, particularly in PowerShell or Python, is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated self-initiative, resourcefulness, and adept problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team or work autonomously.
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.
