Position Summary:

The Senior Appian Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable business process solutions using the Appian BPM Suite. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will also mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Appian applications using SAIL, process models, records, reports, and web APIs.

• Customize workflows and user interfaces to improve user experience and business efficiency.

• Integrate Appian with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, RDBMS, and third-party connectors.

• Lead Agile development teams, delegate tasks, and ensure quality and timely delivery.

• Mentor junior developers and promote adherence to Appian best practices.

• Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and implement reusable components.

• Partner with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Present technical designs and solutions to senior stakeholders and business users.

• Provide Level 3 production support, troubleshoot integration and performance issues.

• Ensure compliance with performance, security, and accessibility standards (including 508 compliance).

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Stay updated on Appian platform releases and assess new features for enterprise adoption.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7 10+ years of hands-on Appian BPM development experience (SAIL, process modeling, UI design).

• Strong understanding of Appian architecture, security model, and performance optimization.

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, and RESTful APIs.

• Solid experience with SQL and RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Familiarity with BPM principles and workflow automation.

Certifications (Mandatory):

• Appian Level 1 & Level 2 Certified Developer

• Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer Preferred
