Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (BA3)
Location: Hybrid Austin, Texas
Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Central)Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701
Onsite Requirement: In-person with up to 80% remote work flexibility

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team supporting projects that advance the mission of improving outcomes for Texas students. This role will focus on public dashboards for post-secondary outcomes and 1st 3rd grade supplementary grants projects.

You will perform advanced business analysis and user experience (UX) design, ensuring solutions are both functional and user-friendly. You ll work closely with product teams, stakeholders, and developers to capture requirements, create design solutions, and maintain alignment with agency standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering through customer interviews, workshops, and analysis.

  • Create detailed system requirements, user stories, and use cases following BA best practices.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).

  • Design wireframes and mockups aligned with UX/UI best practices and agency standards.

  • Support business process re-engineering and process flow improvements.

  • Oversee requirements management from initial capture through implementation and post-deployment enhancements.

  • Facilitate meetings, document outcomes, and maintain clear communication among cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience eliciting requirements and writing detailed system documentation.

  • Proficiency with SDLC methodologies.

  • Expertise in business process re-engineering and process flow improvements.

  • Skilled in user story and use case development.

  • Ability to design wireframes and mockups following UX best practices.
