Infrastructure Engineer

Description

Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer l to join our clients team in West Des Moines. This role will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, and related security tools to ensure a secure and efficient technology environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to deliver value and support business objectives.

Location: West Des Moines, IA - 100% Onsite

Employment Type: 6 month Contract-to-Hire


Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Intune for device configuration, compliance policies, and application deployment.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage and monitor Azure Sentinel, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory environments.
• Oversee Microsoft Office 365 administration, including user management, licensing, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including threat detection, remediation, and policy creation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices for security, compliance, and performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and operating system issues as needed.
• Participate in occasional on-call support rotation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory administration.
• Experience managing Microsoft Office 365 environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Intune for device management, compliance, and application deployment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Strong PowerShell automation skills.
• Broad technical skills, including operating systems, networking, and hardware.
• Strong communication, customer service, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant IT experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing Windows Server (2012 R2 or newer).
• Familiarity with Azure Arc for server management.
