Job Description
A premier New York City firm is seeking a Jr. Desktop Support professional to join its growing IT team. This is a fully onsite position located in Midtown Manhattan, directly across from Grand Central Station.
Reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology, this role offers hands-on exposure across all facets of IT ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and make an immediate impact in a high-performance legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily desktop support for hardware and software in a fast-paced legal setting.
- Provide expert support for Office 365 applications (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams).
- Manage and troubleshoot A/V and conference room equipment (Zoom, MS Teams).
- Configure, test, repair, and relocate computer components as needed.
- Maintain system updates, antivirus protection, and overall IT security.
- Document issues, solutions, and procedures in the knowledge base.
- Act as a liaison between internal users and external vendors.
- Recommend and implement improvements to optimize IT systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven desktop support experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Office 365, and VPN software.
- Proficiency in supporting Zoom and Microsoft Teams A/V setups.
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-demand professional setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM software is a plus.
Education
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent hands-on work experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
