Job Details

Job Title: Reltio MDM Technical Consultant
Location: Remote (US)

Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary

The Reltio MDM Technical Consultant will own the endtoend configuration, integration, and optimization of the Reltio Cloud MDM platform for Fresenius, with a strong focus on Reltio Integration Hub (RIH/Workato) and datagovernance workflows. This is a highly technical, handson role that combines data modeling, integration design, workflow configuration, and stewardship enablement to deliver highquality, trusted master data.

Responsibilities

Integration & Orchestration

  • Design, build, and maintain complex integration recipes in Reltio Integration Hub (RIH) using Workato, orchestrating near realtime and batch data flows between Reltio and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Configure and monitor JSON/RESTbased integration queues to ensure reliable, secure data exchange.

Workflow & Governance

  • Configure and customize Data Change Request (DCR) workflows to automate datasteward processes (create/update/merge/escalations/approvals).
  • Implement governance controls around data ownership, stewardship, and exception handling aligned with Fresenius policies.

Data Modeling & Hierarchies

  • Design and maintain scalable L3 data models (entities, attributes, crosswalks) including complex relationships and hierarchical structures (e.g., customer, vendor, product, and organizational hierarchies).
  • Ensure models support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases without sacrificing performance or flexibility.

UI / Data Steward Experience

  • Configure and optimize Reltio UI (layouts, views, filters, search, navigation) to make stewarding tasks efficient and intuitive for business users.
  • Design rolebased views tailored for stewards, data owners, and business consumers.

Data Quality, Matching & Survivorship

  • Define and tune match/merge rules (fuzzy/identity rulesets) to minimize duplicates and false positives, achieving a reliable Golden Record.
  • Configure survivorship strategies and dataquality rules (completeness, validity, standardization) to enforce a single source of truth.

Hierarchy & Stewardship

  • Implement and manage organization and product hierarchies, supporting rollups, reporting, and business logic (e.g., rollup to corporate, region, or therapeutic line).
  • Use stewardship tools to manage merges, splits, and hierarchy changes safely.

General Technical Leadership

  • Troubleshoot integration, workflow, and configuration issues across Reltio, RIH, and connected systems; drive rootcause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate closely with data governance, business, and architecture teams to translate requirements into robust Reltio configurations.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation (data models, mappings, recipes, workflows, APIs, deployment steps).
  • Mentor junior/adjacent team members on Reltio best practices, patterns, and operational runbooks.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong handson experience with the Reltio Cloud MDM platform, including configuration and environment management.
  • Deep expertise with Reltio Integration Hub (RIH) and Workato, building and maintaining complex integration recipes.
  • Proficiency with Reltio Workflow engine and DCR configuration (BPMN concepts, routing, SLAs, escalations).
  • Solid understanding of JSON structures, REST APIs, and APIled connectivity, plus comfort with NoSQLstyle data modeling.
  • Proven ability to configure advanced survivorship strategies, match/merge logic, and dataquality rules.
  • Experience with hierarchy management (account hierarchies, location hierarchies, product hierarchies) and data stewardship tooling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Healthcare or Life Sciences master data (e.g., HCP/HCO, provider, patient, product, or clinical data), ideally with a client like Fresenius.
  • Reltio Certification (Implementation, Data Modeler, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills for working with business data owners, governance councils, architects, and integration teams.
  • Ability to work independently, own complex workstreams, and challenge requirements where needed to arrive at scalable designs.
