MALBEK CLM FUNCTIONAL ARCHITECT / TECHNICAL CONSULTANT
The role for Malbek CLM is a key leadership role responsible for the design, configuration, and successful implementation of Malbek's contract management platform across the enterprise. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business processes and legal requirements into a robust, scalable, and user-friendly CLM solution. The position will oversee the functional design, workflow automation, and system integrations to ensure the platform meets the company s contract management, compliance, and reporting needs.
Must work onsite in Milpitas, CA (possibly hybrid later)
Key responsibilities
Solution architecture and design: Lead the functional design of the Malbek platform, including contract workflows, user interfaces, approval hierarchies, and metadata structures.
Business requirement analysis: Engage with legal, sales, finance, and procurement stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and processes related to contract lifecycle management.
Configuration and implementation: Configure the Malbek system, including contract templates, clause libraries, user roles, security, and document repositories, to align with the documented solution design.
Integration strategy: Develop strategies and design specifications for integrating Malbek with other enterprise systems, such as CRM (Salesforce), ERP, and e-signature solutions.
Workflow optimization: Design and automate end-to-end contract processes, from initiation and authoring to negotiation, approval, and post-execution management.
Governance and compliance: Establish and enforce best practices for contract governance, data security, and compliance with corporate policies and industry regulations.
Testing and quality assurance: Support the testing strategy by developing test cases, executing user acceptance testing (UAT), and managing defect resolution to ensure the solution meets functional requirements.
Stakeholder communication: Act as the primary liaison between business teams, technical resources, and external partners, clearly communicating functional solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Training and support: Assist in developing training materials, conducting workshops, and supporting end-user adoption of the new CLM platform.
Future roadmap: Contribute to the long-term CLM product roadmap by researching emerging technologies (such as AI-driven contract intelligence) and recommending enhancements.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in CLM or Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) implementations, with at least 3+ years in a functional architect or lead consultant role.
Proven, hands-on experience for 2+ years implementing the Malbek CLM platform.
Experience working in a complex, global, multi-business unit environment.
Technical knowledge:
Solid understanding of CLM processes, including contract authoring, negotiation, execution, and obligation management.
Strong knowledge of APIs, integration frameworks, and enterprise system integration patterns.
Proficiency in configuring CLM platforms and familiarity with related technologies like e-signature and CPQ.
Soft skills:
Excellent communication, leadership, and client engagement skills.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence stakeholders effectively.
Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT, or Business.
