We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives focused on data retention and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing projects that implement data retention policies and compliance controls across enterprise systems. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills to ensure progress tracking, roadmap delivery, and successful execution of the overall program plan.
Key Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end project management for data retention and GRC initiatives, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.
Coordinate efforts across multiple system owners and business units to ensure consistent implementation of data retention policies.
Partner closely with the GRC team and technical stakeholders to align on compliance objectives, requirements, and reporting.
Develop and maintain a project roadmap, manage dependencies, and communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Facilitate recurring project meetings, track action items, risks, and decisions, and ensure accountability across teams.
Prepare and deliver regular status reports, updates, and executive summaries on project progress and blockers.
Collaborate with system owners and architects to understand technical implications and ensure policy integration aligns with system capabilities.
Support overall governance by enforcing documentation standards, tracking metrics, and ensuring project alignment with organizational compliance frameworks.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management within IT, data, or compliance-driven environments.
Proven success managing data retention, GRC, data governance, or compliance initiatives.
Strong understanding of enterprise system landscapes and how retention or compliance policies integrate across them.
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience creating roadmaps, managing cross-functional dependencies, and reporting project health to senior management.
Ability to operate independently while collaborating across diverse technical and business teams.
PMP, CSM, or other project management certifications preferred.
